1. Who you are contracting with

Dupe Detective (“the Service”), at dupedetective.online, is operated by SQRL Investments LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as Dupe Detective. By using the Service you enter into an agreement with SQRL Investments LLC.

2. Acceptance

By accessing, creating an account on, or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service. You confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction, and, if you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, that you have authority to bind that organisation.

3. What the Service does

Dupe Detective compares a product you submit — by photo or marketplace link — against products in our index and returns a similarity score, a risk band and supporting evidence. The score measures visual and textual resemblance only.

The Service does not verify authenticity and makes no claim that any product is counterfeit, infringing, unsafe or illegal. Scores are generated automatically, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and are for general informational purposes. They are not legal, medical, dermatological, safety or purchasing advice. Verify anything important independently before acting on it.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the Service unlawfully, or for fraud, spam or harassment;
• upload content you do not have the rights to, or that infringes any intellectual property, privacy or publicity right;
• upload unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or deliberately misleading content, or images of identifiable people without their consent;
• use results to defame, threaten or extort any brand, seller or individual, or to publicly assert that a product is counterfeit on the basis of a similarity score;
• interfere with the security or integrity of the Service — malware, probing, penetration attempts, automated scraping, or circumventing rate or plan limits;
• reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service or its outputs at scale.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the images and text you submit. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and analyse that content solely to operate and improve the Service, including adding anonymised product records to our comparison index. We may remove or restrict content at our discretion, and we operate a takedown pathway: rights-holders and affected individuals can contact us at the address in section 13 and we will review promptly. Repeat infringement results in account termination.

7. Our intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service, including its software, scoring methodology, index, branding and documentation. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within the plan you have selected.

8. Plans, payments and our reseller

A limited number of checks each month is free. Paid membership is billed monthly in advance and renews automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the paid period.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. See also our Refund Policy.

9. Affiliate links

Some links to retailers are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commission never influences a similarity score.

10. Availability and warranties

The Service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free operation, nor the accuracy of any score or result. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential or special damages, including lost profits, data or goodwill. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where such limitation is prohibited by law.

You will indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination your right to use the Service ends; you may request an export of your check history within 30 days, after which we may delete it.

13. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, and the courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these Terms and will change the date at the top; continued use means acceptance.
